Sunday, July 03, 2022 09:30 PM - 10:00 PM - The 25th annual Friends of Lake Glenville Fireworks Over The Lake will be held on Sunday, July 03, 2022, at approximately 9:30 PM!! Let’s gather safely and responsibly in your watercraft or on land to enjoy this always spectacular celebration of our Nation’s Independence. The fireworks will be launched from our usual spot, The Pointe, just north of Trillium on the west side of Lake Glenville. Kindly adhere to the direction of law enforcement officers in watercraft regarding distance from the shoreline and between boats depending on wind direction. ( Content: Friends of Lake Glenville)

Freedom Fest - Bryson City North Carolina Celebrates Independence Day. Bryson City, North Carolina celebrates the Fourth of July holiday in a big way! An all day street festival with 4-station bungee, a kid's area, live music, food tents, arts and crafts, with evening fireworks makes for a great family fun event for the 4th of July!

The fun begins at 8 am with the 31st Annual Bryson City Rotary Club Firecracker 5K, leaving from Riverfront Park downtown and traveling through the Deep Creek area and return. Get race details.
At 10 am the street festival begins on Everett Street downtown. Visit our restaurants or food trucks for dining indoors or on a patio, or at shady picnic tables or pavilions. And you’ll find food vendors with all your festival favorites – funnel cakes, shave ice, Philly cheese-steak sandwiches, BBQ, kettle corn and more. Crafts vendors include pottery, wood-working, photography and art, jewelry, stained glass and more. (10 am – 6 pm) Festival info
Live music starts at 6 pm with Jack Marion and The Pearl Snap Prophets (country rock), followed at 8 pm by Kevin Daniels (southern rock and blues).
Experience the best fireworks show in the Smokies at 10pm There are plenty of good vantage points in the area. Downtown streets will be closed but there are great spots for viewing in the large train parking lot, and other business lots as well as several municipal lots. Highlands NC July 4th Celebration
The Town of Highlands Recreation Department will host traditional field games, including Tug-of-War, three-legged sack race, water balloon toss and frozen t-shirt contest at the Highlands Town ballfield. At noon, the med vac helicopter will arrive. Once the helicopter departs, the Highlands Fire Department ladder truck will spray down the kids. Highlands Rotary will be serving hot dogs provided by The Highlands Chamber of Commerce/Visit Highlands.
